Botswana's President Ian Khama takes the oath of office during a ceremony as he was sworn in for his second term on October 28, 2014 in Gaborone, after winning re-election with a reduced majority, pledging to intensify efforts to diversify the economy and eradicate poverty.Khama's Botswana Democratic Party has ruled the diamond-rich southern African nation since independence in 1966, but many voters complained of growing economic strain and unemployment.
