Seventy-year old Palestinian farmer Abbas Yusef points towards his olive trees, which are bearing their annual fruit, on land either side of an Israeli settlement in the northern occupied West Bank, in the village of al-Janiya (al-Janiah) west of Ramallah on October 28, 2014. For years Yusef has been denied access by the army to his olive groves, however this year for the first time since 2000, Yusef was allowed to visit his land, but only for two days -- not nearly enough time to gather all the olives during the harvest that begins early October -- only to find 400 of his trees uprooted.
