MYANMAR-HALLOWEEN-FESTIVAL
Revellers put on make up ahead of a Halloween party in Yangon on October 31, 2014. Halloween, a contraction of All Hallows' Eve, is celebrated on the last day of October before All Saints Day. The tradition of revellers dressing up as ghosts during Halloween goes back to a folk belief that beings from the afterlife will mingle with those on earth on that day, thus humans disguised as ghosts will be left alone by the supernatural.
