BRITAIN-LIFESTYLE-HUNTING
Steven Ashworth, the huntsman of the Holcombe Hunt, exercises his hounds near Bury, northern England, on October 31, 2014 before tomorrow's hunt which takes place on the first day of the official hunting season. The Holcombe Hunt is one of the UK's oldest hunts, whose lineage is traceable back to 1086. Today with the prohibition on hunting foxes and other wildlife with dogs in England, the Holcombe Hunt practice 'trail hunting', where a scent is laid down in a trail for the hounds to follow, simulating the hounds catching the scent of the hunt's quarry.
