GERMANY-HISTORY-WALL-25YEARS-REFUGEES-EU-AFRICA
Frames of the so-called White Crosses (Weisse Kreuze) memorial remain empty on November 3, 2014 on the Spree River bank in Berlin after activists of the artistic group Center for political beauty (Zentrum für politische Schönheit) removed the white crosses reading the names of Berlin Wall victims. The crosses were placed on the European Union border in Melilla, Spanish North-African enclave, and in Bulgaria, according to the group to protest against the European border, they called European Wall, and the migration policy, as Germany prepares to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall, on November 9.
