Girls from the Cerro-Cora favela who turn 15 this year pose for photographers before the start of their debutante ball organized by the Pacifying Police Unit (UPP) from their community at the castle at Fiscal Island, in Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 6, 2014. In order to promote integration, the UPP organizes a group debutante ball where they and theri families share the traditional rite of passage from childhood to womanhood with the girls turning 15 and their families.
