COLOMBIA-CONFLICT-FARC-INDIGENOUS-FUNERAL
Hundreds of indigenous people accompany the coffin of Daniel and Manuel Antonio Tumina, members of the indigenous Nasa tribe recently killed by alleged rebels, during their funeral in San Francisco rural area of Toribio, department of Cauca, Colombia, on November 8, 2014. Seven suspected FARC guerrillas will be tried Sunday by an indigenous court for murdering two leaders of the Nasa tribe in western Colombia, officials said. When crimes are committed in aboriginal territory, the punishment for the accused is decided by the community and not the ordinary justice system. The suspected FARC rebels on Wednesday attacked two native leaders who were removing billboards praising the late leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Guillermo Leon Saenz, also known as Alfonso Cano.
