SAFRICA-WILDLIFE-CONSERVATION-RHINOS-FILES
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY KRISTEN VAN SCHIE
(FILES) A file picture taken on August 3, 2012 shows a black dehorned rhinoceros followed by a calf at the Bona Bona Game Reserve, in Klerksdorp, 200 kms southeast of Johannesburg. South African Pelham Jones bought his first rhinos for his private game park some 25 to 30 years ago, completing his collection of the "Big Five" animals that visitors especially want to see. Now, as South Africa faces a seventh straight yearly increase in rhino poaching, Jones is on a panel of experts studying an unusual proposal for battling the problem: legalising the trade in rhino horn.
