US-ARGENTINE BONDHOLDERS-01
Dan Celentano (L), Tim Kearney (2nd L), co-chair Nichola Stock (2nd R) and co-chair Hans Humes (R) of the Global Committee of Argentine Bondholders (GCAB) listen to a question at a meeting of the committee and holders of Argentine bonds, 14 July, 2004, in New York. Argentina had the capacity to make a "substantially higher" return than the 25 percent of the face value of the debt being offered, the GCAB has said. Buenos Aires declared on 08 June that talks with the bond holders on the debt, amounting to 82 billion USD in bonds and 22 billion USD of past interest, were over. The committee said it would begin a series of investor presentations in the US, later in Europe and Asia, to explain Argentina-s true position. AFP PHOTO/Stan HONDA
