CYPRUS-SYRIA-REFUGEES-CONFLICT
A member of the Turkish-Cypriot rescue team helps a Syrian refugee after some 220 Syrian migrants were rescued from a boat near the port of Kyrenia, off the northern coast of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus which is recognised only by Turkey, after the vessel signalled for help when it hit rough seas in the Mediterranean on November 23, 2014. Turkish -Cypriot rescue teams transferred the refugees to another vessel in an operation that lasted several hours in bad weather when the boat was some 300 metres (yards) off the coast near Kyrenia.
