MALAWI-HEALTH-HIV-AIDS
Patients, some of them HIV positive, wait for a medical consultation at the Nsanje District Hospital on November 25, 2014 during a routine pregnancy visit and antiretroviral assessment. The World Health Organization (WHO) says there were some 35 million people around the world living with HIV by the end of 2013, with some 2.1 million new infections during the course of that year. Sub-Saharan Africa is the most affected region, with almost 70 percent of new infections. AFP PHOTO//MARCO LONGARI
