FRANCE-MOTOR-AUCTION
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY JEAN-FRANCOIS GUYOT
Artcurial Motorcars managing director Matthieu Lamoure (L) and expert Pierre Novikov (R) speak on November 26, 2014 at the Gaillard property in the western French town of Echire among a collection of 60 antique cars, dating from the '30s to the '70s, including Bugatti, Hispano-Suiza, Delahaye, Maserati and Ferrari models, some of them rare, parked in makeshift shelters. The cars, called by experts "an automotbile Graal," were collected by Roger Baillon, who died in the early 2000s before being able to open a car museum as he had wanted to. The rare car collection was auctionned off on December 6 by Artcurial during the Retromobile fair in Paris. AFP PHOTO / XAVIER LEOTY
