South African state prosecutor Gerrie Nel (R) arrives at the Pretoria High court for the ruling on the State appeal against against the five-year sentence hearing on Decemeber 10, 2014 in Pretoria, South Africa. A South African judge granted prosecutors leave to appeal against the conviction of Oscar Pistorius for culpable homicide rather than murder. The judge refused leave to appeal against the five-year sentence imposed on the sprinter for culpable homicide, or murder.
