Bags of copra, the flesh of the coconut, are stored at the oil mill of Papeete on December 9, 2014. 10,000 tons of copra are delivered annually to the oil mill to produce 6,000 tons of coconut oil, refining 350 tons for Monoi oil producers, as a less pure oil is produced for making cakes or margarine.
