Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, who currently chairs the African Union, gives a press conference on the second day of a summit on security in the sub-Saharan Sahel region of Africa, where armed Islamic extremists linked to al-Qaeda are active, on December 19, 2014, in Nouakchott.
