People stop to look at a sculpture placed along the newly opened Henri Konan Bedie bridge (HKB) on December 20, 2014, in the Ivorian capital Abidjan. Both a bridge and a highway, this new expressway links the north and south of Abidjan, bringing the districts of Riviera and Marcory closer together. It was innaugurated on December 16 by President Alassane Ouattara and is seen as an embodiment of the promise for the country's infrastructure.
