SPAIN-MOROCCO-CEUTA-FILES
(FILES) - A file picture taken in Ceuta, on 25 October 2005 shows Moroccan women waiting to cross the border between Spain and Morocco. These women make a living by smuggling various merchandise bought on the Spanish side of the border, as taxes and import duties are higher on the Moroccan side. There are no official figures for the value of what officials call the "atypical trade" in the Ceuta and Melilla Spanish territories, but Spanish media have estimated it at more than 600 million euros a year in each of the territories, although tighter border controls have been imposed this year due to security concerns, AFP journalists reported on December 26, 2014.
