The wake for a second New York police officer shot dead by an assassin this month will be held january 3, 2015, the funeral home said. Mourners will be able to pay tribute to Wenjian Liu at Aievoli Funeral Home in Brooklyn starting Saturday from 1:00 pm (1800 GMT), and he will be buried the following day, the center told AFP December 29, 2014. Liu, 32, and fellow officer Rafael Ramos, 40, were shot in the head as they sat in their patrol car in broad daylight in Brooklyn on December 20. Police said shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley had a clear anti-police bias and posted Instagram comments that were anti-government and referenced two unarmed black men killed recently by police.
