FRANCE-ATTACKS-MEDIA-TRIBUTE
A man holds a placard reading "I am Charlie" and "Freedom, Equality, Fraternity" (France national motto) and sporting the names of victims during a gathering in Tarbes, southern France, on January 8, 2015, in tribute to the 12 people killed the day before by two gunmen at the editorial office in Paris of French weekly satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The massacre which occured on January 7 is the country's bloodiest attack in half a century and triggered poignant and spontaneous demonstrations of solidarity around the world. Charlie Hebdo is famed for its irreverent views of religion and its decision to publish controversial cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. AFP PHOTO / LAURENT DARD
