FRANCE-ATTACKS-CHARLIE-HEBDO-TRIBUTE
People stand outside the Capitole building in Toulouse, southern France, on January 9, 2015 where on the facade is projected the words "Toulouse est Charlie" (Toulouse is Charlie) during a gathering to pay tribute to the victims of a deadly attack two days prior on the Paris headquarters of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo. French elite forces stormed two hostage sites on January 9, killing the brothers behind the Charlie Hebdo massacre and a jihadist accomplice in a fiery end that also claimed the lives of four hostages. The killings brought a dramatic close to three days of terror and high tension that began on January 7 when the two heavily armed Kouachi brothers burst into the satirical magazine's office and slaughtered some of France's best-loved cartoonists.
