MALI-POLITICS-GOVERNMENT-UNREST
Mali's newly-appointed Prime Minister Modibo Keita smiles on January 9, 2015 during a handover ceremony at the Prime Minister's office in Bamako, Mali. Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita named a new slimmed-down government on January 10, with cabinet members replaced in key defence and economy posts in the strife-torn west African nation. The government of new Prime Minister Modibo Keita was appointed by a presidential decree published overnight on January 10, after his predecessor as premier resigned under pressure on January 8.
