BELGIUM-EU-FRANCE-ATTACKS-CHARLIE-HEBDO-DE-KERCHOVE
EU counter-terrorism chief Gilles de Kerchove gives an interview on January 13, 2013 to Agence France-Presse (AFP) in reaction to last week's deadly terrorist attacks in Paris in his office at European Coucil headquarters in Brussels. De Kerchove said "we can't prevent 100 percent" a new Islamist attack like those in Paris. He also said he opposed jailing jihadists who return to Europe from Syria or Iraq, calling prison a "massive incubator" of radicalisation.
