NIGERIA-VOTE
An official of the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA) tries to remove on January 13, 2015 posters of Lagos governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Akinwunmi Ambode displayed along the highway, against the environmental guidelines the agency issued to all political parties about indiscriminate use of electoral materials in the state. Recently, Lagos police chief Kayode Aderanti, had accused the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA) of removing billboards and posters of candidates of various political parties in the state, thereby creating an uneven playing field for candidates. Nigerians go to the polls in a month's time to elect a new president against a backdrop of a raging Boko Haram insurgency, economic troubles and persistent concerns over rampant corruption.
