Lorries sit in the emergency lane on the A16 motorway leading to the port of Calais, northern France, on January 22, 2015, as traffic is stopped while repairs linked to a catenary failure are were carried out in the Channel Tunnel. A total of 22km of traffic jam on the A16 blocked access to the port of Calais, also affecting the nearby city of Dunkerque, due to ongoing construction work in three sections of the Channel Tunnel.
