PORTUGAL-RIGHTS-GAY-ADOPTION
Spectators look on as deputies vote against three bills seeking to give unmarried and or same sex couples full adoption rights in Portugal at the Portuguese parliament on January 22, 2015. The Portuguese Parliament today rejected three bills seeking to give couples full rights to adoption in Portugal, any individual can apply to adopt but a gay marriage law passed in 2010 explicitly excluded adoption for same-sex couples. Similar bills had already been rejected by the conservative majority in February 2012 and in May 2013.
