Berlin governing mayor Michael Mueller answers journalists in front of the illuminated Brandenburg Gate as he officially opens a campaign for the bid of Berlin to host the 2024 or 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic games, on January 23, 2015 in Berlin. The illumination on the gate reads : "We want the games, Berlin for Olympics". Germany has not hosted an Olympics since tragedy-marred Munich Games in 1972.
