The first "blank" (without combustible) trials of the Flamanville EPR are scheduled for the second semester of 2015, French energy giant EDF announced on February 19, 2014. French trade union CGT stated on January 27, 2015 that it did not have much faith in the date of 2017 proposed by French energy company EDF for opening of the under-construction nuclear reactor at Flamanville, after the company announced delays at the site in November 2014.
