Tourists with a head for heights have a towering new place to stray in the Dutch city of Amsterdam – a giant crane !
The hotel is built it into one of the world's oldest and tallest mechanical structures.
It boasts three luxury hotel suites, a spa pool and a TV broadcasting studio
The 50-metre maritime crane was destined to be left to rot away.
But just three years later, the crane is now a hot , desirable venue with rotating suites fitted out by a top team of interior designers.
The Faralda Crane Hotel even has panoramic-view pool.
The 250-ton crane, rising from the ground at the trendy NDSM site on the River Ij's banks, was saved despite the creation of the hotel being dismissed as technically impossible.]
