US-HEMINGWAY-LOOKALIKE
Vladimir Malikov (L) of Almaty, Kazakhstan, gets an affectionate hug from Matthew Gineo of Jensen Beach, Florida, during the second preliminary round of the "Papa" Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Contest in Key West, 23 July 2004. Malkiov sold personal property to realize his dream to come to Key West from the former Soviet republic to compete in the Look-Alike contest at Sloppy Joe-s Bar that is part of the island-s annual Hemingway Days festival. He was selected to be in the final round to be held on July 24.
