CZECH REPUBLIC SYRIA LAW OPPOSITION
Syrian teacher Souad Nawfal holds the Czech Homo Homini Award for courage in promoting democracy and human rights and a portrait of Czech expresident Vaclav Havel in Prague, Monday, March 2, 2015. Nawfal started actively protesting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime at the beginning of the revolution in 2011. Fearing for the lives of her family members, she fled Syria at the end of 2013 and now she lives in the Netherlands. Nawfal obtained the Prize at the One World film festival devoted to human rights.
