Mideast Egypt Animal Shelter
In this Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 photo, a German volunteer plays with dogs at the Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals (ESMA) animal shelter in Saqqara, some 30 kilometers (19 miles) south of Cairo, Egypt. An online video last Thursday showing a group of Egyptian men stabbing and clubbing a dog to death caused outrage to animal lovers.
