Police Officer Killed
Fulton County Lt. B. Hicks stands guard at the home on Parks Trail where the suspect lived that allegedly killed a veteran Fulton County police officer who was shot in the head and killed early Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in what the assistant chief described as an ambush-style attack. The shooting happened near Fairburn, about 20 miles southwest of Atlanta, Fulton County Assistant Police Chief Gary Stiles said. Police were responding to reports of someone shooting a gun in the neighborhood and were ambushed while trying to protect the residents, Stiles said.
