Philippines Japan WWII Battleship
Filipino World War II historian Professor Rico Jose shows pictures before the Japanese World War II battleship Musashi sank as he talks to reporters at his office in suburban Quezon city, north of Manila, Philippines on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Jose said “Now that they discovered this ship in Philippine waters, it puts an end to alot of questions, where it sank, what kind of damage it sustained and all of this. It’s a very historical find and the fact is that this is one of only two battleships of this size and it’s in the Philippines.” Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Paul Allen said he and his research team aboard his superyacht M/Y Octopus have found the wreckage of Musashi off the Philippines near where it sank more than 70 years ago.
