Colombia Amazon Musicians
In this March 7, 2015 photo, Manu Chao strums a guitar while performing with his band La Ventura during a music festival calling for the protection of the Amazon rainforest, at Parque Orellana, in Leticia, Colombia. Manu Chao and his band La Ventura, Colombia's Doctor Krápula, Chilean Moyenei Valdés, and Mexico's Ruben Albarran of Cafe Tacuba, and Roco Pachucote of Maldita Vecindad, gathered for a musical marathon where activists, social organizations and ethnic groups made a call to safeguard the region considered the "heart, lungs, and kidneys of the planet."
