Theater Dear Dan Hansen
FILE - In this April 14, 2013 file photo, Ben Platt arrives at the MTV Movie Awards in Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, Calif. Platt will star in the new musical "Dear Evan Hansen" debuting this summer at Washington's Arean Stage. The theater announced casting plans Monday for the musical from composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and playwright Steven Levenson. Platt is best known for starring in "Pitch Perfect" and will reprise his rope in "Pitch Perfect 2" He recently made his Broadway debut in "The Book of Mormon."
