In this Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 photo, Maggie Gobran, known as "Mama Maggie," comforts a child at a community development center she founded in the Manshiet Nasr, neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt. The center’s educational programs provide an alternative to the country’s decrepit schools, where chronic lack of funds forces poorly paid teachers to rely on private tutoring and families to pay out of pocket for one-on-one attention.
