King was the first musher to leave the White Mountain checkpoint during the 2014 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race on in this March 10, 2014 file photo. King has relived last year's finish many times, and knows he'd do things differently. King was easily in the lead of the 1,000-mile race at mile 975 when a sudden blizzard came up.
