Canada-Terror Convictions
Mohammed Jaser, father of Raed Jaser, leaves court after Jaser and another man, accused of plotting to attack a Via Rail passenger train travelling from New York to Toronto, were found guilty of terror-related charges in Toronto on Friday, March 20, 2015. Jaser, a Canadian citizen of Palestinian descent, and Chiheb Esseghaier, who is of Tunisian descent, faced a total of nine terrorism charges in connection with the plot.
