Firefighters and officials work 30 July 2004 at the scene of a gas explosion on an industrial estate in Ghiselenghein, southern Belgium. At least 14 people were killed and 200 injured when a high pressure gas pipeline exploded today at an industrial estate in southern Belgium, state television channel VRT reported. An interior ministry spokeswoman had said earlier that the explosion, which occurred at around 9:00 am (0700 GMT) near a motorway passing through the southern town of Ath, left around 100 people wounded and caused several fatalities.
