New Liverpool-s manager Rafael Benitez checks his watch, 10 August 2004 during the first leg European Champions League third qualifying round match Grazer AK vs Liverpool FC in Graz. Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard gave Benitez an early taste of their European potential scoring twice in a 2-0 win over AK Graz. Benitez-s first foray into Europe with Liverpool, having won the UEFA Cup with Valencia last season, ended positively as his players - minus Michael Owen - gave Graz a lesson in the midfield.
