The lockdown aimed to contrast the covid-19 outbreak forced the Vatican to reorganize the celebrations marking the Holy Week preceding Easter. The Way of the Cross torchlight procession, usually celebrated at Rome's Colosseum with a great participation of faithful, has been moved to an empty St. Peter's Square.
