- Inaugurated in 1973 by pope Paul VI the carriage pavillon (Padiglione delle Carrozze) of the Vatican Museums shows a collection of ceremonial berlins, sedan chairs, various automobiles and popemobiles belonging to Pontiffs or Princes of the Holy Roman Church.
- This carriage was produced in Rome by the Casalini Brothers, renowned carriage manufacturers, during the pontificate of Pius IX, and was part of the official Great Gala Berlin cortege.it is the oldest of the carriages used by the 'Palace Services' for the transportation of cardinals and other prelates of the Roman Curia..
