PAKISTAN-ATTACKS-QAEDA-PROTEST-STUDENTS
Pakistani students of an Islamic seminary display a placard reading "My father (Abbu) is not a terrorist" as they take part in an anti-government demonstration in Islamabad, 29 August 2004. Several hundreds of Islamic students took part in the demonstration protesting against government-run raids at a mosque and Islamic seminaries, conducted in order to hunt alleged Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic clerics wanted for issuing a religious edict against the Pakistan army-s offensive against Al-Qaeda-linked militants in the remote South Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border.
