Nepalese police baton charge a protester opposing a proposed U.S. half billion dollars grant for Nepal outside the parliament in Kathmandu, Nepal, Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022. The U.S. gift is opposed mostly by Communist parties in Nepal, two of which are in the governing coalition government. The money is meant to be used for the construction of power transmission lines and improvement of roads in Nepal but opponents allege it comes with conditions that are not acceptable.
