US President George W. Bush talks to US First Lady Laura Bush after arriving at the Naval Observatory 12 September 2004 in Washington, DC. Bush holds a solid lead over Kerry ahead of the 02 November 2004 presidential election, according to two weekend polls: in a Time poll Bush leads Kerry 52 to 41 percent, while Bush leads Kerry 49 to 43 percent in a Newsweek poll.
