FAMAGUSTA - REPUBLICA TURCA A CIPRULUI DE NORD

FAMAGUSTA, TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTHERN CYPRUS - JANUARY 17: Empty roads and buildings are seen in the town of Maras as it continues to welcome its visitors since its partial reopening in Famagusta, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), on January 17, 2024. The abandoned town of Closed Maras (or Varosha in Greek) in Gazimagusa, also known as Famagusta, partially reopened for public use on Oct. 8, 2020 after 46 years. Before being parts of the coastal town were reopened, it had been a ghost town to which entry was forbidden, except for Turkish army personnel stationed in the TRNC.
