Un musicien crée un hybride guitare-harpe à 109 cordes

Pictures must credit: Bernth A musician has created a hybrid 109 string guitar and harp — and can play it ! That's 103 more than a regular guitar. It was made by piecing together bodies and necks of different stringed instruments of different shapes and sizes. The Austria-based virtuoso guitarist Bernth ,32, said it took lots of practice to figure out what strummed chords would sound like and where to play them.   It was used on a specific song about a relationship break-up called I Still Miss You The 109 strings have their own distinctive tunes, which can allow the player to produce different rhythms and solos at once. He uses one hand for the rhythm and the other one for his solos. The basic instrument is an acoustic guitar with the rest bolted on around it. All the harps are tuned differently and it took him a day to properly get everything in sync. Bernth is an Austrian guitarist, composer, and session musician. He contributed guitar solos to 3 platinum albums and received 2 gold awards for his soundtrack work. Picture supplied by JLPPA
