29 June 2024, Berlin: A protester is holding a portrait of Massoud Rajavi, co-founder of the National Resistance Council of Iran as thousands of people protest against the Iranian authorities in central Berlin after the first round of presidential elections. The National Council of Resistance of Iran, an opposition movement set up in 1981 and banned within the country, had called for the protest on 28 June, when the first round of the elections was held, to protest against the country's theocratic government..
