ETNA - ACTIVITATE VULCANICA
CATANIA, ITALY - JULY 16: A view of Mount Etna seen from Adrano, Catania producing a new eruption on July 16, 2024. From the late afternoon of 15 July until 03:00 on the night of 16 July, the activity was characterised by a lava fountain from the Voragine Crater that produced an eruptive column about 6000 m above sea level that propagated in an easterly direction with ash fallout in the towns of Viagrande and Acicastello until it was exhausted, a northwestern lava flow from the Bocca Nuova crater with the front at an altitude of about 3000 m above sea level.
