Custom built Land Rover for the apocalypse
Pictures must credit: Apocalypse A custom car company has taken a Land Rover — and turned it into a vehicle for surviving a world in turmoil. Florida-based Apocalypse has turned the UK company’s Defender model into a six wheel drive beast called, appropriately, the World Ender. It is based on the high-performance Defender Carpathian Edition, which has a supercharged 5.0L V-8 engine. The body has been stretched by adding a four foot / 122 cm long flatbed to go with an extra set of wheels. A middle axle gearbox gives power to all six wheels. Apocalypse says it has 518 bhp. It is also equipped with independent pneumatic suspension in the front and back for a relatively smooth ride. It has a front crash barm, custom fenders, armoured side steps, roof rack and roof-mounted lights plus a roll cage. All six wheels are 20-inch in 38-inch all-terrain tyres. © Apocalypse via JLPPA/Bestimage
